I have been tying flies since i started fly fishing moving from trout then to saltwater and finally to cod and yellow-belly flies.

There were no flies available to buy when I started fly fishing for cod so what better excuse to tie flies and innovate. The Ozzy Native Flies range have all been trialled and have all caught cod or yellow belly so fish them with confidence as I do.
I prefer to guide during the peak cod bite windows to improve your chances of catching a cod or yella. Dawn and dusk are preferred although you sometimes strike it lucky and have longer bite windows. It's all about increasing the odds of catching our native Murray Cod or Yellow belly.

"I met Ben at Violet Town on the 1st of January. We drove to a camping spot very close to the river. We set up camp, took a rod and went for a walk down to the river. Having never fished for cod before, Ben took the time to show me just how to cast. He was very patient with me as i learnt how to cast to them. He showed me what to look for structure wise. We rested till late afternoon and then started fishing. I caught my cod that evening.
